This is a simple yet fun way to learn vowels. It consists of 5vowel cookie monsters and word cookie flash cards.
With my students sitting in groups, I hand out several word cards containing short vowel words printed on them. Students who get the monsters each goes around the groups collecting the corresponding words to the vowel her monster represents.
To make it more FUN, students make crunching sounds while picking up the word cookies.
